Editorial Policy
How Credvivo researches, writes and reviews everything you read on this site.
Credvivo publishes loan and insurance content for borrowers in India. This page sets out the editorial standards we follow so readers know exactly how our content is produced, reviewed and corrected.
1. Independence
Credvivo earns commission from partner banks and insurers when a customer takes a product through us. Our editorial team writes independently of these commercial arrangements. No bank, NBFC or insurer can pay to be ranked higher in our content, and no partner sees an article before it is published.
2. Who writes our content
Articles are written by Credvivo's in-house editorial desk, which includes finance writers and senior loan advisors with 10+ years of on-ground experience in retail lending and insurance distribution across Tricity. Every author is identified by name in the byline at the top of the article.
3. How content is reviewed
Every guide, comparison and explainer is reviewed by a senior advisor before publishing. Reviewers check three things: factual accuracy against the latest RBI directions and IRDAI rules, clarity for a non-expert reader, and that no claim crosses into specific financial advice for an individual situation.
4. Sources we rely on
We cite primary sources wherever possible — official rate cards published by partner banks, RBI master directions and circulars, IRDAI regulations, CIBIL / Experian methodology pages, and Government of India scheme guidelines (PMAY, MUDRA, CGTMSE, PMEGP). Numbers like 'lowest interest rate' and 'minimum CIBIL' are based on lender rate cards and underwriting norms current at the time of publishing.
5. When information changes
RBI repo rate, lender pricing, scheme limits and tax slabs change frequently. We review high-traffic articles at least every 90 days and update them when material changes occur. The 'Last updated' date at the top of an article reflects the most recent substantive review, not minor copy edits.
6. Corrections policy
If you spot a factual error, write to hello@credvivo.com with the article URL and the correction. Verified errors are fixed within 3 working days, with a brief note added at the bottom of the article describing what changed.
7. What we don't do
We don't publish sponsored articles disguised as editorial. We don't promise loan approval, sanction amount, or specific interest rates. We don't recommend a single 'best' product as universally right — the right loan or policy depends on your profile, income, CIBIL, tenure and risk appetite. We don't share or sell reader data to anyone outside the lenders or insurers a reader explicitly applies with.
8. AI-assisted drafting
We may use AI tools to draft outlines, summaries or rewrite explanations for clarity. Every published article is then edited and fact-checked by a human reviewer. AI is never the final author of anything you read on Credvivo.
9. Affiliate and commercial disclosure
When you apply for a loan or insurance product through Credvivo and the lender / insurer disburses or issues the policy, Credvivo may receive a commission from that lender or insurer. This does not change the rate, fee or terms offered to you — those are set by the lender's policy.
10. Reader safety reminders
Credvivo will never ask for your OTP, debit-card PIN or net-banking credentials, and will never request a deposit into a personal bank account or UPI ID. Loan approvals are at the sole discretion of the partner bank or NBFC based on their internal credit policy and your eligibility.
